Symphony of Northwest Arkansas: Education Outreach Concert

Through outreach concerts, SoNA gives students in NWA the chance to see a live performance of a professional symphony orchestra for free, during the school day, among an audience made up of their peers. These performances have a specific theme and repertoire that is separate from the regular mainstage concert series of the orchestra.

Dubuque Symphony Orchestra: Holiday Family Concert

Jump into the spirit of the holiday season with a special family concert comprised of a shorter program of kid-friendly holiday music and sing-along tunes. This concert, featuring vocalist Jennie Wengrovious, the Dubuque Chorale Children’s Choir and members of the Heartland Ballet, is approximately one hour in length and brings joy to all ages!

Children are invited to get a free socially distanced photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus immediately following the family concert.

A musical celebration of rivers, oceans, and fountains!  Minnesota composer Steve Heitzig has devoted his professional career to composing works that inspire a connection to the nature, and his piece Aqua celebrates the sea, utilizing special percussion such as seashells.  Immerse yourself in the awesome sound and beauty of the full orchestra in Respighi’s Fountains of Rome! Guest cellist Anthony Arnone will perform a cello concerto by Cedar Rapids native Michael Daugherty.  This piece, whose recent recording garnered three Grammy awards, is inspired by the stories of Ernest Hemingway, and includes water-themed sections entitled “Big Two-Hearted River” and “The Old Man and the Sea”.

Rhapsody presents: Sensory Friendly Concert

Sensory Friendly Concerts were developed by the Musical Autist and welcome all neurodiverse people. Fidgets, manipulatives and a quiet room will be available. Low lighting and no amplification will be used. This concert will feature music & art by Rhapsody faculty & friends.


This event is FREE and open to all ages.

Disney's The Little Mermaid presented by the Company Theatre

All the elements of a Broadway spectacular come to the Company stage in a magical kingdom beneath the sea. The mermaid Ariel quests for life on land when she falls in love with the human Prince Eric. She must defy her father King Triton, escape the clutches of the evil sea witch Ursula, and engage in the ultimate battle of good and evil. Alan Menken’s delightful score with full orchestra, imaginative costumes, sparkling scenery and a special cast of characters all bring this undersea world to life. There is joy to be found ”under the sea” for the young and young at heart in this beloved Disney classic.
