Gabriela Ruíz is a passionate flutist and educator dedicated to inspiring musicians of all ages. A native of Texas, she grew up in Houston, where she first discovered her love for music. While attending the prestigious High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA), Gabriela performed with the HSPVA Symphony, Houston Youth Symphony, and Virtuosi of Houston Chamber Orchestra, studying under Jennifer Keeney. She distinguished herself as a winner of the HSPVA and Virtuosi of Houston Concerto Competitions, as well as the Flute Society of Kentucky Collegiate Artist Competition.

Gabriela earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied with Marianne Gedigian. She went on to receive her Master of Music degree from Boston University College of Fine Arts under the tutelage of Renée Krimsier. In 2014, she was named a semi-finalist for the New World Symphony.

With a deep passion for music education, Gabriela has taught students across various programs, including the Houston and Leander Independent School Districts, Longhorn Music Camp, Ip Piano School, 77 Arts Academy, and the Performing Arts Center of Metrowest. Now based in Northwest Arkansas, she continues to be an active performer, chamber coach, and dedicated teacher, sharing her love for music with students both locally and beyond.
